⭐ Nothing Short of Sensational! ⭐ We’ve been regular visitors to Bilash in Cullercoats on and off for years (or that might be decades ), and it never disappoints. Numan is an incredible host — always welcoming and attentive. The restaurant has had a bit of a glow-up, I assume in honour of their upcoming 35-year anniversary (what an achievement!). It feels totally fresh and modern, yet still immaculate as ever. This time, I decided to try something new — the Royal Platter — and oh my goodness, it was absolutely delicious! A huge dish featuring the best selection of meats: tender lamb, chicken, sheesh kebab, lamb chops, chicken tikka on the bone, and prawns, all served with a super-fresh, crispy salad and cooling yoghurt dressing. I added a side of masala sauce, which paired perfectly. My husband went for his favourites from the daily special menu, which offers a fantastic two-course selection of the classics. He chose the Bhuna Prawn on Puri followed by Chicken Rogan Josh with a vegetable pilau. We shared a Peshwari naan, all washed down with a few pints of beer — the perfect start to the week! I was completely defeated by the incredible platter and brought home a sizeable portion, which our sons happily devoured later — they declared it awesome and said I’d made a fab choice. If you’ve never been to Bilash… run, don’t walk!

We came here last night after having already read some great reviews online - they weren’t wrong! The food was delicious and we were pleased that they kept things authentic, flavorsome and all for very reasonable prices too. To top things off the staff were very friendly and welcoming - a special thanks to our waiter Jay who gave us some great recommendations and the owner Numan who came to have a chat with us at the end of our meal. It’s the best Indian food we’ve had in a very long time and we will definitely be returning.
The food was out of this world and the restaurant catered for my gluten free needs. The service we received was faultless and the staff could not be more accommodating. We had a lovely evening in the restaurant and we cannot wait to return for more gorgeous food.
Had a takeaway meal for New Year's Eve and food was absolutely beautiful. One of the nicest Indian meals that I've had for a long time, will definitely be going back.
First time visiting Bilash and definitely won’t be the last, the food was such good quality, and you can tell the chefs take their time to prepare every dish from scratch, unlike a lot of other Indian restaurants/ takeaway. The service from all the staff was so good and the venue itself has such a nice feel and interior is really nice. They also have an upstairs over flow room which you can also hire for large parties. Highly recommended, located just next to Cullercoats metro station.
On arriving at the bilash Indian restaurant in Cullercoats I was greeted by the friendly staff. It is 2 minutes walk from Cullercoats metro station. A local bus service runs close by or you can drive and park close by or walk like I did. The food was well worth the price, I went on the special night. Although it was £2 more than it advertised on - line. Good food good value for money, clean and tidy restaurant and toilets. Unfortunately no room for wheelchair access and no accessible toilets but when I queried this the staff said they were try and help to get them in. I found the staff went out the way to help me decide what I wanted from the menu. I asked what was in couple of dishes and they were more than happy to advise me. I didn't book on the night I went but went early enough to get a seat but it filled up quick, maybs because it was special night. Bilash do deliver as well, they do have seating area upstairs for larger bookings. I have been before and will definitely be back. I have already recommended to my friends and family x
Good food, pleasant staff and great ambience. The manager and all the staffs were very friendly and pleasant. Very good customer service. Really liked the lamb chopsticks, naga wings and chom chom chicken.
